The PASA Judges Committee needs your skills!
By Claire King

The Judges committee is looking for sharp, enthusiastic people to join the judging team. Non-jumping partners tired of hanging out on DZs with nothing to do, jumpers who don’t compete but want to be involved, Competitors who want to learn more about how their event and others are judged.... Show yourselves!!!

Gone are the days of secrets, silence and judges vs. competitors’ polarity. Skydiving judging has evolved. There is so much to be learnt and challenges abound.  Contrary to popular belief, judging is loads of fun and by no means a thankless job.

We need to build our judging panel – the more judges we have the more we keep our standards up and the more accurate the outcome at our competitions.

We will be conducting training in all the disciplines – it’s free, it’s fun and you have nothing to lose. If you take to it, why not stay on and get your National Judge rating and go on to get your International rating and the opportunity to be invited to judge around the world at international competitions.

The first course in Canopy Piloting judging took place during September. We plan future training in all the other disciplines. If you’re interested in attending or just curious, contact Claire on 082 886 3544 or . Forward this information to friends who you think would enjoy it. You don’t need to have any experience in skydiving or the discipline to be a judge.
