Static Line training is the
traditional method of training and takes about 5 to 6 hours. Training
includes a classroom discussion and hands-on practical. Weather
permitting, you will do your first jump the same day.
You exit the aircraft at 3500 feet and, as
you exit and fall away, the static line automatically extracts and deploys
the parachute.
The static line progression consists of 8
static line jumps and 17 freefall jumps before you will be classified as a
graduate skydiver.
To do the Static Line Course you must be 16
years of age with parental consent required under 21 and you must weigh no
more than 100kg.
